NURSE PRACTITIONER DNRBILLGOES TO GOVERNOR
A.1719-A (Gottfried)/ S.2947-A (Hannon), a bill that would authorize nurse practitioners to execute an order not to resuscitate on behalf of patients and families, passed both Houses of the Legislature and was just sent to Governor Paterson for his consideration. MSSNY has opposed the bill and has sent a letter to Governor Paterson urging him to veto the measure.(ELLMAN, DEARS)
