House Passes Reform Legislation

House Passes Health System Reform Legislation by a Narrow Margin
As was widely reported, the House of Representatives last weekend also passed its broader health system reform bill, HR 3962, by a 220-215 vote. The AMA announced its support for this bill. While a resolution was advanced at the just concluded AMA Interim House of Delegates meeting to urge the AMA to rescind its support, that resolution was defeated by a significant majority of physician Delegates.
