Elizabeth Crowley Fundraiser – Why we encourage you to support her…
On June 17th at 11am, on the steps of City Hall, leaders from the Medical Society of the County of Queens joined physicians from all boroughs to speak at a Press Conference held by City Council Member Elizabeth Crowley. Ms. Crowley is among the first elected officials to publicly support physicians in their struggle to practice medicine amidst a hostile atmosphere of increasing malpractice rates, increasing litigation, decreasing reimbursements from insurance carriers, and the inability to collectively bargain on their own behalf. Elizabeth Crowley is especially concerned about the impact these issues have on the medical care provided to women and the resulting shortage of obstetricians and breast imaging doctors.
Council Member Crowley has set up a petition (link below) and all you have to do is click on the link, open her website, and click on "Save Women's Health Care". Sign the petition right online and pass this along to your colleagues (it does not matter if you are in her district or not).
